We care about you
We are a medical group made up of a large team of healthcare professionals. We opened in 1984 in a 50 m² consulting room in Malgrat de Mar and today we see patients in Arenys de Mar, Malgrat de Mar, Santa Susanna and Palamós, and soon in Pineda de Mar and Canet de Mar.
We care for people of all ages, with specialists, diagnostic tests and treatment at the same centre, as a private patient or with your health insurance. And we do it just as we did on day one: listening, calmly and with a family feel.

A brief history
Since 1984 we have grown without losing what we started with: a warm, personal touch.
- 1984
Creu Blava is born
Doctors Javier Rius Moya and Manuel Rodríguez Rivas open a 50 m² consulting room in Malgrat de Mar with a blue cross as its logo.
- 1985
A name from the town
The centre moves to Carrer Joan Maragall. Locals said they were going “to the Creu Blava” (the blue cross), and the name stuck.
- 2018
A new chapter
New management expands the premises to around 400 m², bringing new specialties and tests, with the same trusted team.
- 2022
Santa Susanna
We open in the Hotel Atzavara shopping area for private, insured and holiday patients.

6 centres
We see patients in Arenys de Mar, Malgrat de Mar, Santa Susanna and Palamós, and soon in Pineda de Mar and Canet de Mar. Over 50 specialists caring for families.

How long has Creu Blava been around?
Since 1984. Doctors Javier Rius Moya and Manuel Rodríguez Rivas opened a small consulting room in Malgrat de Mar; locals called it “la Creu Blava” (the blue cross) after the cross on the sign, and the name stuck.
