What is an internist?
Based on the formal definition, we can deduce that an internist is a professional who has completed the speciality of internal medicine.
If you have any symptom that raises doubts and seems complex, see an internist, as they are trained to diagnose and treat patients with a very broad problem-solving capacity and, if necessary, can refer you to the most suitable sub-specialist for each case.
In this way, patients can avoid going from one consultation to another looking for a solution to their complaint.
In addition, an internist is especially recommended for patients who have more than one condition at the same time, thus avoiding having to consult several sub-specialists for each of their conditions.
They also carry out various tasks specific to their profession. Some of the most common are:
